Surgical lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal, and can even be used in declawing. Laser procedures result in less pain, less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort.
At Spring Valley Veterinary Hospital, we also have the capability to perform laser therapy. Therapeutic lasers are used to alleviate post-surgical or traumatic pain. Beneficial uses are alleviating chronic pain, accelerating healing, rehabilitation, and much more. Laser treatments take about 15 minutes, so your pet can be treated on an outpatient basis. No sedation is required for this treatment series and patients often show relief after just one treatment.
